A Pair of Opening Slots

As Covid-19 cases continue to rise, more and more bands and solo artists are cancelling gigs. Mammoth WVH is the latest group to cancel a pair of shows after a touring personnel tested positive for coronavirus.

“Mammoth WVH will not be performing tonight in Missoula, MT or Monday night in Commerce City, CO out of an abundance of caution due to a member of our touring personnel testing positive for COVID-19,” frontman Wolfgang Van Halen said in a statement. “All band members and other crew have tested negative at this time.”

“We apologize to those fans we won’t be seeing over the next couple of shows,” he continued. “Thanks to everyone for their support and we can’t wait to be back when it is 100% safe for everyone to do so.”

Mammoth WVH has a pretty busy schedule this year. Not only are they on tour opening for Guns N’ Roses, they’re also headlining club shows. Before embarking on the trek, Wolfgang told UCR how “nerve-wracking” it was for him to be on the road in the middle of a pandemic especially since he’s “a super-germaphobic sort of guy”. He added that they were all vaccinated and made sure to follow all protocols including wearing masks “every opportunity we can.”
