This Is Awesome!
KISS has been selling out stadiums for years that it’s now almost impossible to imagine them performing in smaller and intimate venues.
Last February 11, they performed their first club show in over two decades and under their original band name Wicked Lester! It was at the famous Whisky A Go Go in Los Angeles, CA and as expected, they had a pretty dramatic entrance. They walked across Sunset Boulevard in full makeup and costume.
It was an invitation-only show for SiriusXM VIPs and subscribers so fans had to line up for hours to get in.

“Itโs so cool because right now weโre on the End of the Road tour, so weโre playing all the arenas โ and to be able to go back and relive what we did once upon a time, is pretty awesome. It all starts in the clubs. If you want to really make it, you donโt do it by going on a talent musical show โ you go into the streets and you play for people.” – Paul Stanley
The venue could cater to up to 500 people only. KISS performed 12 songs for 70 minutes and most of the tracks were from 1974-1977. Aside from the fans, it’s also a star-studded audience with Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith, No Doubt’s Tony Kanal, Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins and rapper LL Cool J in the crowd.
Don’t worry if you missed this because it will air on Howard Stern’s โHoward 101โ on SiriusXM.
