Kelly Osbourne Shares About Her First Child

Kelly Osbourne, the daughter of famous parents Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, recently shared details about her eldest child. Last year, she gave birth to a baby boy named Sidney. The father of Sidney is Sid Wilson, known as the masked turntablist of the band Slipknot.

On the most recent episode of Today With Hoda & Jenna aired on Friday, May 12, Kelly expressed to hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager that her baby boy is incredibly precious to her.

He gives her a sense of purpose and motivates her to start each day with enthusiasm. Her entire existence revolves around him, and this experience has truly enlightened her about the true meaning of “purpose.”

According to Kelly’s statement, Ozzy prefers the nickname “Papa” while Sharon is known as “Nana” in their roles as Sidney’s grandparents.

Kelly stated that her mom absolutely adores him, and similarly, her dad shares the same affection. Moreover, there is a genuine connection between her dad and him, as Kelly mentioned.

In addition, Kelly revealed that Ozzy even thinks about his grandson when he’s not awake. Interestingly, her dad is a sleep talker, a trait he has always had. Remarkably, now during his sleep, he frequently calls out for Sidney. Undoubtedly, Kelly finds this incredibly cute.

A Surprise for the Family

In October of the previous year, Kelly announced that she and Sid were anticipating the birth of their baby boy. During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she mentioned that Ozzy, her father, was thrilled to welcome his first grandson, especially considering that Kelly’s brother Jack Osbourne, aged 37, already has four daughters.

Kelly did acknowledge that her father’s excitement for the upcoming arrival was evident. Each day, he would perform a little song and dance, demonstrating his immense enthusiasm for the fact that it was going to be a baby boy. As the first boy in their immediate family, Kelly’s father was busy making plans and eagerly looking forward to the future.

Kelly expressed her immense joy about entering motherhood and acknowledged her parents’ exceptional assistance during her pregnancy while her partner, Wilson, was on tour. She credited her father for accompanying her through every significant stage and commended his support, despite occasionally making unintentional remarks.

Kelly’s Reflections

In a June 2021 episode of Red Table Talk, Kelly expressed her longing for children. She mentioned feeling a sense of delay, stating that as a woman, she had hoped to be married and have children by that point. She remarked that she would have made an unfit mother, acknowledging:

“I would have lacked the qualities necessary for motherhood.”

Reflecting on her past, she confessed:

“As a reckless addict, I entertained the delusion that I could quit using drugs once I became pregnant, solely due to the obligation. It’s absurd to consider such a notion.”
