A Heartfelt Tribute To The Victims Of The Las Vegas Massacre

Last night, just hours after the tragic shooting that took place in Las Vegas that left 59 dead and 527 injured, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon continued as scheduled, but in wake of this senseless tragedy, host Jimmy Fallon opened the show addressing this still fresh news.

“This morning, we woke up to the news of another senseless shooting, this time in Las Vegas. In the face of tragedies and acts of terror, we need to remember that good still exists in this world. We’re here to entertain you tonight… and that’s what we’re gonna do. Ladies and gentlemen, with a little help from Adam Sandler… Miley Cyrus.”

The studio audience then saw a moving tribute performance of the song “No Freedom” performed by the aforementioned Adam Sandler and Miley Cyrus. It’s clear from the tears in Adam’s eyes and Miley’s slightly wavering voice just how fresh this tragedy still is in our minds.
