Journey Release New ‘You Got The Best Of Me’ Music Video

Journey has just recently released an official music video for their newest single “You Got The Best Of Me,” taken from their upcoming album Freedom, that is set to drop on July 8.

The lineup of Journey featured on the new album includes Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain, and Arnel Pineda, along with Randy Jackson on bass, who played on Journey’s “Raised On Radio” album from 1986.

Schon shared about the album:

“I wanted kind of a punky rendition of [1980 single] Any Way You Want It. I usually don’t go in saying I’m going to look for something like that, but then it just came to me, like Wheel in the Sky did years ago. It just kind of flew out of my mouth.”

He also shared how the album came about:

“During the pandemic, there wasn’t much to do. I spent a lot of time in my little studio at home, learning how to play keyboards and looping. Some of those ideas ended up being songs. So it kind of came out of nowhere.”
