Jon Anderson & The Band Geeks have announced an expanded run of performances for their 2026 “YES Epics, Classics & More” tour, adding a second leg of U.S. dates along with additional shows in the United Kingdom. The new schedule reflects strong fan demand following the announcement of earlier concerts planned for spring.

The second U.S. leg will feature 12 performances beginning June 23 at the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix, Arizona, and concluding July 22 at Palladium Times Square in New York City. These shows follow a previously announced 10-date run scheduled for April and May across the northeastern United States.

Expanding a Classic Catalog on Stage

The tour centers on music associated with YES, the progressive rock band Anderson co-founded in 1968 with bassist Chris Squire. Known for long compositions and layered arrangements, YES built a reputation for ambitious live performances and albums that defined progressive rock during the 1970s.

The Band Geeks, originally formed by BLUE ÖYSTER CULT member Richie Castellano as a YouTube performance project, gained attention for their detailed recreations of classic rock material. Anderson began working with the group after being encouraged to watch their online performance of YES’s “Heart Of The Sunrise,” which led to a touring collaboration that continues today.

Anderson Reflects on YES Legacy

In a 2024 issue of Mojo magazine, Anderson spoke about the possibility of reconnecting with former YES members. “I was talking to THE BAND GEEKS and said, hopefully we can play in London and Steve will get up and do a couple of songs with us, maybe Rick too,” Anderson said. “It just means talking. When I’m out there singing on my own, I still think I’m part of YES. They still feel like my songs.”

Anderson remained with YES until 2008, when the band replaced him with Benoit David, a singer known for performing in a YES tribute act. David later departed in 2012 and was replaced by Jon Davison. Despite lineup changes, Anderson continues performing music closely tied to the group’s history.

Reunion Prospects Remain Unlikely

Guitarist Steve Howe addressed reunion speculation in a July 2020 interview with Rolling Stone, expressing doubts about future collaborations involving past members. “I don’t think [the fans] should stay up late nights worrying about that,” he said. “There’s just too much space out there between people. To be in a band together or even to do another tour like ‘Union’ is completely unthinkable.”

He added, “It was difficult when we went through that, particularly because of the personalities. I’m not saying any one person is to blame, but when you get a big hodgepodge like that together, it’s pretty much a nightmare. We made a nightmare of possibly a good thing back in 1990. I don’t think there is the stamina or the appetite for that kind of thing again.”
