Teddi Mellencamp Is In The Dark – Just Like The Rest Of Us

The 37-year-old fitness guru and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is just as in the dark as the rest of us, telling PageSix yesterday that her famous father won’t tell her anything about his upcoming wedding to actress Meg Ryan. The pair have been romantically linked since 2011, but broke up in 2014 after Mellencamp refused to relocate to New York for Ryan; happily, they reconciled in 2017 and got engaged in November 2018.
Since popping the question, John and Meg have been characteristically quiet about their wedding plans, which got Teddi Mellencamp cracking up when asked if she knew anything about what was to come.
“You think that they’re involving me in the planning ? One, I’m on ‘Real Housewives.’ Two, I’m a loudmouth. Three, like they’ll probably tell me the day before, like ‘Show up’ and do not tell me why. They’re very private. Me, not very much.”
She’s got a point! While entertaining (don’t lie, you know you’ve caught at least one episode), the Real Housewives franchise is known for everything but its ability to keep things quiet – and considering how curious people are about John and Meg’s relationship and what their superstar wedding will look like, it would only be a matter of time before something spilled and totally ruined the pair’s plans.
Plus, John tunes into Real Housewives regularly to keep up with daughter Teddi and what’s going on in her life in Beverly Hills and would immediately know where any potential leaks regarding the wedding came from. She even says that he’s no stranger to calling her up after every episode with the kind of hilarious questions only a dad can come up with.
“My dad watches,” reveals Teddi. “I can say that and I have to get — hear his two cents on everything as well, which is never actually the storyline. It’s something like, ‘Teddi. Why do you wear so many hats?’ And I’m like, ‘Because sometimes, Dad, I don’t want to do my hair. Like, why are you noticing this? There’s other things we’re dealing with here!’”
Despite not being in the loop about her dad’s wedding plans, Teddi loves him fiercely – and the same goes for future stepmom Meg, who she hails for being “an amazing person” and everything she and her siblings could ever want for John.
