A performance of John Fogerty singing the 1970 classic “Looking Out My Back Door” by the Creedence Clearwater Revival was released in a recent episode of The Tonight Show.

Fallon introduced the video by saying “We love John Fogerty,” and the live audience cheered and the host continued:

“John stopped by the show earlier today, so we stepped into the Tonight Show music room.”

In the video, Fogerty was seen performing with Fallon and The Roots and also featured Fogerty’s sons Shane and Tyler on the late-night show segment Classroom Instruments. They were using children’s instruments and other musical toys to deliver the third single from CCR’s fifth album, Cosmo’s Factory, which became a US No.2 hit for the California band and went on to reach Platinum status for sales of more than 1 million copies in the region.

The rocker’s recent appearance on the show was to promote his Celebration Tour which just embarked and had an early stop at New York’s Radio City Music Hall.

Meanwhile, Fogerty will also play a pair of US dates this week before heading to the UK and Europe for a month of shows that will close on June 9 at the Holland International Blues Festival before returning for more North American dates.

Check out their performance in the video below.
