Joe Walsh’s VetsAid 2024 Canceled

Joe Walsh’s renowned VetsAid concert scheduled for Nov. 11 at the UBS Arena in Belmont Park, NY, has been called off due to some unexpected circumstances. The 2024 show had an impressive lineup, which included Toto, Kool and the Gang, Eric Church, and Post Malone joining Walsh for what was set to be a memorable night honoring veterans and their families.

Support for Veterans Continues

Despite the show’s cancellation, Walsh remains focused on VetsAid’s mission to support veterans. “The wellbeing of our veterans and their families remains my foremost concern and the primary mission of VetsAid,” he said in a statement. Though the show won’t go on as planned, VetsAid is still donating $400,000 in grants to 12 veterans’ organizations across New York and New Jersey. Walsh also emphasized:

“I am thrilled to share that VetsAid will provide these funds to organizations that will focus these resources on veterans who have sacrificed so much and asked for so little in return.”

A Lineup for All Music Fans

Walsh’s plan for this year’s show was to create a concert for everyone, blending genres including rock, country, funk, and pop to celebrate veterans from all walks of life. “VetsAid is for everyone: fans of all ages, backgrounds, and musical genres,” he shared, adding that Post Malone, who appeals to a wide audience, would be perfect for this year’s event. “Who better to join the party than Posty – the man who can do it all and do it so well?”

VetsAid’s yearly charity concerts started in 2017 and have featured legendary artists like ZZ Top, Ringo Starr, James Hetfield, Dave Grohl, and Eddie Vedder. Through these concerts, Walsh’s foundation has distributed around $3.5 million to veterans’ charities, positively impacting thousands of veterans and their families.

While fans may miss this year’s concert, VetsAid’s commitment to supporting veterans continues to make a difference.
