Jimmy Page Joins Metallica and Jeff Beck For Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame Performance | Society Of Rock Videos

What An All-Star Cast!

Every year, the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony features a monster performance, but this performance is like rock fans everywhere died and went to rock and roll heaven! Rock royalty Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin joined Metallica, Jeff Beck, and a few other very special guests for a rowdy performance of ‘Train Kept A-Rollin’, and it was a performance for the ages!

What really struck me about the performance is how each person onstage is a legend in their own right – they’ve all influenced generations of musicians, yet they’re still incredibly starstruck by each other!

The band, fronted by Metallica’s James Hetfield, also featured Aerosmith’s Joe Perry and Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Joe Perry actually had to teach ‘Train Kept A-Rollin’ to the guys in Metallica shortly before the performance; you’d never know it, judging by how seamless the performance was, right down to the improvised solos and duels between various bass players and guitar players. While we may never see a performance of this magnitude again, we’re certainly glad that it happened!
