Jimmy Page Is Hitting The Road With A New Band In 2017 | Society Of Rock Videos

It’s About Time

Jimmy Page has confirmed what his fans have been waiting to hear for years – he will go back on the road next year! He shared the exciting news with Planet Rock (during Phil Alexander’s “Mojo Rocks”) and while we want nothing more than for Led Zeppelin to reunite, at least we have this. His last tour was way back in 1998 with Robert Plant. He also talked about the 1997 “BBC Sessions” album and he said:

“The ‘BBC Sessions’ was an epic, when you think everything has to be listened to in real time and all of that. It’s an epic, but it’s an epic I was really prepared to take on, because, historically, it was really important for people to have all that information about what was going on in the studio at that point of time. It took a lot of time, and I must say that I hoped by this time that I would be sort of playing with other musicians. I’ve said that to you before but I still hope to do that. Clearly now it’s not going to materialize until next year. That’s not that far away now!”

He said that his touring band will be “totally different” from Led Zeppelin and that “there will be surprises.” He even added, “It won’t be entirely what people might be expecting.”

Can 2017 come sooner?
