Are we the only ones who firmly believe it would be so fun and cool to see her perform with Slash? Wouldn’t that be just epic? While this song is known for Slash’s fast shredding on his electric guitar, Jess goes the opposite way. She toned it down and with her beautiful singing, she just won our hearts AGAIN. Even another YouTube sensation Igor Presnyakov couldn’t resist commenting on her video, “A rather interesting rendition. She’s got balls!” Clearly, talent recognizes talent!
It may be an iconic song but Slash was said to have disliked it at the beginning because it was nothing more than a joke at the time. Well, aren’t we all glad the boys eventually took this seriously?
During a jam session at the band’s house in the Sunset Strip,[6] drummer Steven Adler and Slash were warming up and Slash began to play a “circus” melody while making faces at Adler. Rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin asked Slash to play it again. Stradlin came up with some chords, Duff McKagan created a bassline and Adler planned a beat.
Jess Greenberg’s got some serious guitar skills. She just made a sexy, sultry rendition of this classic rock tune. How many can pull that off? She easily did!
