It’s Ridiculous How Much This Guy Sounds Like Freddie Mercury

He Sounds JUST Like Freddie!

When Freddie Mercury died in 1990, the world just knew that Queen as we knew it was over; surely there wasn’t another singer alive that could even come close to Freddie Mercury’s stage presence and vocal prowess, though many have tried. It wasn’t until Canadian rocker Marc Martel tried his hand at ‘Somebody To Love’ in 2011 as part of a competition to join Queen drummer Roger Taylor onstage that anyone came close, and not only did Marc come close…he absolutely nailed it and convinced us that he just might be the second coming of Freddie Mercury.

Fun Fact: As of 2015, Marc still performs around the world with Roger Taylor on the Queen Extravaganza Live Tour – performing Freddie’s vocals.

Watching this video, it’s no wonder he was hand selected by Roger Taylor to join him onstage performing parts that until now, only Freddie Mercury was capable of; he sounds so much like Freddie that it’s actually pretty unbelievable until you realize that yes, Marc really is just that gifted. It’s as if when Freddie died, the heart and soul behind that once in a lifetime voice went right into Marc to keep the music going just a little while longer.
