This is a killer performance. She had me at that first few seconds. Wow! To sound almost like Janis Joplin, it’s incredible. She hit those high notes with finesse. To be fair, Janis’ songs are not easy to sing. You need an edge, the right amount of restraint and of course, so much soul. This girl, Natalia Sikora, has all of them. I especially liked how the judges were able to immediately recognize her pure, raw talent right off the bat. That voice is one in a million. You can find several Joplin covers but few really make a mark, few can stand out.

She sounds so good and hauntingly beautiful. It’s like the song was waiting to be sang by her after all these years. If someone decides to sign her up, I’d definitely buy her album and go see her shows. To see this live must be spine-chilling.
