In a recent interview with The Sunday Times, Cara Delevingne recounted an amusing encounter with Bruce Springsteen at Glastonbury.
Reflecting on her relationship with musician Minke (Leah Mason), whom she began dating in 2022, Cara shared an illustrative anecdote:
“Two years ago, we were backstage at Glastonbury and took a photo with this guy. I asked Leah afterwards, ‘Who was that?’ She replied, ‘What? That was Bruce Springsteen!’ I had no idea what he looked like. She thinks that’s blasphemy.”
Delevingne first met Leah at a boarding school in Hampshire, England, during their childhood. Their paths crossed again at an Alanis Morissette concert a decade later, leading to their relationship, which blossomed after Cara’s breakup with Ashley Benson in 2020.
Cara Delevingne’s Journey to Sobriety
Now sober, Delevingne has openly discussed her struggle with addiction. In the interview, she recalled her first experience with alcohol at her aunt’s wedding in 2001:
“I got drunk that day. I was eight, what a crazy age to get drunk!”
She elaborated on her journey to sobriety, saying:
“I used to think drugs and alcohol helped me cope… but they didn’t, they kept me sad and super depressed. I feel like I’ve got my power back and I’m not being controlled by other things.”
Cara also touched on the differences in musical tastes between her and Leah. While Leah leans towards old rock like Fleetwood Mac, Cara gravitates towards R&B and old-school hip-hop, citing artists like The Notorious B.I.G. as her favorites. Despite their differing preferences, they enjoy discovering new music together and plan to attend various concerts, including performances by Taylor Swift, Girls Aloud, Troye Sivan, Robbie Williams, and Stevie Nicks.
Delevingne’s journey through addiction and her evolving relationship with Minke highlight her resilience and the supportive partnership they share, underscored by a shared love for music, even if their tastes diverge.
