The Collaboration We’ve All Been Waiting For

Nandi Bushell, the eleven-year-old drumming phenomenon who went viral because of her covers, finally got the chance to join Foo Fighters on stage at the Forum in Los Angeles. The prodigy surprised the crowd at the sold-out show as she sat down for a thunderous performance of the band’s 1997 classic hit “Everlong”.

Frontman Dave Grohl introduced their special guest by recalling their drum battle last year.

“One day I picked up my phone, and my friends were all texting me asking if I had seen this shit?” he recounted. “And I clicked on the link and I see someone is challenging me to a drum off. So I’m like, ‘Isn’t that nice?’ I kind of brush it off. But all my friends tell me, ‘no dude, you have to step up. This is the real deal. This is a drum off.’”

“So I respond. I said alright, I’ll play nice,” he continued. “But then she comes back, and she whoops my fucking ass in front of the entire planet. Round three! I do something else, and she comes back and kicks my fucking ass again.”

He then told the audience, “Tonight was the first night I came face to face with my arch nemesis!”

“We’ve had the honor to jam with some pretty amazing people over the years,” Grohl declared. “Some Beatles, some Stones, some Pink Floyds. But this one right here takes the cake.”

Bushell took to Instagram to share a photo of her and Grohl onstage. She called the experience “EPIC!!!” Check out their amazing performance below.
