Dave Grohl has a new confession: the Foo Fighters are officially back! On May 13, the band revealed their first show of 2025, and it’s a big one—they’re heading to the Singapore Grand Prix. The three-day Formula 1 event runs from October 3 to 5, and the Foo Fighters will take the stage on October 4.
A Star-Studded Lineup in Singapore
Joining the Foo Fighters are some major names, including Smashing Pumpkins, Babymetal, Crowded House, and Elton John. With that kind of lineup, the night promises to be a highlight of the racing weekend.
Unless they add more dates, this will be the band’s first live show of the year—and their first since Dave Grohl made headlines with a very personal announcement.
Dave Grohl’s Personal Revelation
Back in September 2024, Dave shared that he had fathered “a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage” to his longtime wife, Jordyn Blum. At the time, Foo Fighters had just finished their Everything Or Nothing At All tour, wrapping up on August 18. Though they played a private gig at Anaheim’s House of Blues on September 6, the band later withdrew from Connecticut’s Soundside Music Festival.
In his public statement, Dave said he planned to be a “loving and supportive parent” and was committed to regaining his family’s trust and earning “their forgiveness.”
Family Drama and Moving Forward
Dave and Jordyn share three daughters: Violet (19), Harper (16), and Ophelia (10). Following Dave’s revelation, Violet and Harper temporarily left social media, though they’ve since returned.
Despite the break, Dave kept busy musically. He performed with Nirvana’s surviving members at January’s FireAid benefit, joined Post Malone for SNL’s 50th anniversary in February, and teamed up with the LA Philharmonic in April to perform Foo Fighters songs.
Now, with Singapore on the horizon, the Foo Fighters seem ready to start a new chapter.
