The Foo Fighters called off last minute on their show at Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. December 12, the concert promoter, John Lickrish was told by the band’s management that the private plane of Foo Fighters has already landed in Chicago, but a band member had to be rushed to the hospital, thus the reason for canceling the show.

The band had to flew a private plane from Los Angeles to Chicago, where they would then board an Etihad Airways flight direct to Abu Dhabi, but things suddenly changed when they arrived there.

“My immediate reaction was to see if the person and the band were okay. Then the situation really hit me because the advance team from the Foo Fighters were already here in Abu Dhabi. The show was being set up, even the band’s gear had arrived.”

Lickrish said.

Even Lickrish said that he was looking forward to see the band perform live as he was also a fan himself. Foo Fighters haven’t released any official statement about it yet. The concert production responsible for the event, then updated the public about it and told that the band apologizes for any inconvenience and disappointment caused by the unforeseen medical circumstances.

Abu Dhabi was supposed to be their final performance for the tour of their latest album “Medicine at Midnight.”
