Fans Excited as Twisted Sister Reveals Tour Plans

Twisted Sister have officially announced the first run of dates for their 2026 tour, ushering in a new era for the band with Sebastian Bach stepping in as lead vocalist following Dee Snider’s retirement. The initial schedule includes four performances across North America: September 4 in Palmer, Alaska (previously announced); September 12 in Durant, Oklahoma; October 8 in Niagara Falls, Ontario; and October 10 in Windsor, Ontario.
Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, with a presale beginning Wednesday under the code “TWISTED2026.” The limited number of dates suggests a measured return rather than a full-scale tour, hinting at a carefully curated celebration of the band’s legacy.
A Reunion Rewritten by Circumstance
The band’s return was originally conceived as a 50th-anniversary reunion tour, announced last September, and intended to mark a decade since their farewell from the road. However, those plans were abruptly halted last month due to what were described as Dee Snider’s “health challenges,” resulting in his “sudden and unexpected resignation” from the group.
Rather than abandon the milestone entirely, founding guitarists Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda chose to move forward under reimagined circumstances. In March, they confirmed that Twisted Sister would still perform in 2026, this time with Bach assuming frontman duties.
“Twisted Sister members Jay Jay French and Eddie Ojeda are thrilled to announce that iconic vocalist and frontman Sebastian Bach will be fronting the band for a handful of select dates this fall,” they said in a statement. “These appearances do not affect or conflict with Sebastian’s current or future solo touring schedule, which remains fully intact.”
Carrying the Legacy Forward
The revamped touring lineup will also include bassist Russell Pzutto, known for his work with Snider’s solo band, and drummer Joey Cassata, formerly of Ace Frehley’s outfit. Together, the group represents a blend of continuity and reinvention—anchored by original members while opening the door to new energy at center stage.
For Bach, the opportunity carries both personal and professional weight. A lifelong fan of Twisted Sister, he expressed his disbelief and excitement in a social media post:
“I am in shock! I am the lead singer of Twisted Sister. I keep saying that over and over to myself and anybody else who will listen today. I am absolutely honored and overjoyed to pay tribute to the legacy of some of my favorite music and musicians of my whole life!”
That sense of reverence may ultimately define this iteration of Twisted Sister. Rather than attempting to replace Snider outright, Bach appears poised to approach the role as both performer and curator—channeling the band’s rebellious spirit while acknowledging its history. His recent performances of “I Wanna Rock” during solo shows suggest not just preparation, but a deliberate effort to bridge past and present.
If anything, this revival raises broader questions about legacy acts in transition: how far a band can evolve without losing its identity, and whether fans will embrace a version of Twisted Sister that honors its roots while stepping into unfamiliar territory. For now, the answer will begin to take shape onstage—where nostalgia, reinvention, and expectation collide.
