Elton John And Dua Lipa Is The Perfect Duo To Perform ‘Bennie And The Jets’

Even amid the ongoing pandemic, the Elton John AIDS Foundation still went ahead with their annual fundraising event. But for the first time in 28 years, it was a livestreamed Oscars pre-party with performances during the actual Oscars’ commercial breaks. One of the highlights of the show was Elton John’s duet with Dua Lipa. They kicked it off with an energetic live rendition of John’s classic hit “Bennie and the Jets” then followed it up with “Love Again”.

The pair looked stunning! Dua Lipa dressed in fringed Balenciaga and dripped in silver crystals. But of course, Elton John could not be outdone. The legendary rocker donned a purple glitter blazer and completed the look with his signature tinted glasses.

He introduced her by saying, “She’s one of my favorite artists right now… She really is the biggest artist in the world right now and we are really honored to have her.”

It was a star-studded show yet Elton John and Dua Lipa’s performance was clearly the main event. They are two of the biggest pop stars but from different generations and while this seemed like an odd pairing at first, it obviously worked. If anything, they need to collaborate again!
