Dolly Parton promised to deliver a rock album after being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and recently more names of who will appear on her upcoming rock album, Rock Star, were revealed including Mötley Crüe‘s Nikki Sixx.

Sixx recently tweeted about playing bass for Parton’s new track, saying:

“Played bass on a song for Dolly Parton yesterday. [I’ve] been back in the gym again to beat the jet lag from the tour and enjoy family time. [I] had a great interview with Sweden Rock magazine, and they might even feature some of my street photography.”

The legendary singer was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last November when she debuted a new song “Rockin,” which she had revealed would become a part of an upcoming rock album that will feature a lineup of rock icons.

The album will be released this fall. In her previous statements, Parton mentioned that Steve Perry and Steven Tyler will be on the record. While more legendary artists like Paul McCartney, Stevie Nicks, Cher, and John Fogerty were later added to the list.

Apart from original materials, the country legend is also expected to include covers of songs by Prince, the Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Led Zeppelin, and more. She also shared in the past that she’s planning on covering Elton John’s “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” and even asked the singer to join her on the track.

When she was invited to The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, she shared this plan for the first time. Parton stated:

“I’d always thought I might want to do a rock record because my husband is a rock ‘n’ roll freak. I thought, ‘If I’m ever gonna do it, now’s the time.”
