Dirty Honey recently uploaded on their YouTube channel a performance of their version of Aerosmith’s “Last Child” at the historic RCA Studios in Nashville, TN.
The video was uploaded on Jan 25, 2020 and is now close to a million views. Some of the comments read:
“Not many can do an honest cover of Aerosmith… here is a most excellent example. Well done. (Applause)”
“I’m starting to have a good feeling about you guys and Rock n Roll in the future”
“When you have that voice, sky is the limit”
“OMG are you kidding me? This is amazing!!! I remember buying this album when it came out. Aerosmith rocked it and so do you guys. GREAT cover… maybe better than Steven and the boys.”
“crushed it. I like how the singer’s making it his own. This old Aerosmith stuff is deceptively difficult to get right, and you guys did admirably.”
It can be remembered that Dirty Honey also performed a cover of AC/DC‘s “Girls Got Rhythm” at Brewster Street Icehouse in Corpus Christi, Texas last June 9, 2021.
The band also did a cover of Prince classic “Let’s Go Crazy” and launched it on National Hockey League Winter Classic on TNT in New Year’s Day.
Fans of the band praised their live performances as they rock out to their music influences.
Dirty Honey was formed in 2017 as an independent band with singer Marc LaBelle, guitarist John Notto, bassist Justin Smolian, and drummer Corey Coverstone. They made a history by becoming the first group to be the #1 single as an unsigned act in 40 plus years of the Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Songs chart.
Their success led them to be chosen as opening act for legendary groups like Guns N’ Roses and The Who.
