The album Drastic Symphonies by Def Leppard is now available for streaming.

In this project, the band collaborated with the prestigious Royal Philharmonic Orchestra from London to create reimagined versions of their most popular songs. These versions were recorded during sessions at Abbey Road Studios in March 2022.

Def Leppard has taken apart and reconstructed not just their famous songs, but also their lesser-known treasures. They have achieved this by combining the original recordings with new symphonic arrangements performed in collaboration with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Joe Elliott explains:

“Def Leppard has always enjoyed veering off the expected path – working with the likes of Tim McGraw, Taylor Swift, and Alison Krauss, for example.

“So, when the offer to revisit some of our back catalogue with the Royal Philharmonic was presented to us, we all jumped at it. Although we’re far from the first band to ever do this, working directly with an orchestra at Abbey Road on some of our more orchestrated songs seemed too good of an opportunity to pass up.”

Drastic Symphonies can now be obtained in various formats, such as CD, 2LP black vinyl, limited edition 2LP colored vinyl, limited edition 2LP picture disc, CD/Blue-Ray (Atmos), and digital formats. A special additional track called “Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad” will be included on the vinyl and Atmos editions.

While recently, the global tour of Def Leppard and Motley Crue had recommence in May 22 in Sheffield, UK.
