Def Leppard recently released a new music video for their latest single “Kick,” with a carnivalesque theme.

The whole video resembles a scene from The Rocky Horror Picture Show. It features the band performing the song while a Cirque du Soleil-style of acts are happening around them and ends up with the band poses with the other performers in front of a carnival marquee that reads, “Wall of Death: The Most Sensational Attraction in the World.”

“Kick” marks as Def Leppard’s first new song in over six years. It is one of the tracks on their upcoming studio album, Diamond Star Halos, which will be released on May 27.

The much awaited record is going to be the band’s first album since 2015’s self-titled LP. Diamond Star Halos is expected to go back to the roots of Def Leppard’s original ’70s glam rock influences like David Bowie, Mott the Hoople and T. Rex. The title of the album itself is a reference to a Marc Bolan lyric from “Bang a Gong (Get it On).”

The rock band impressively recorded the album over the course of the last two years across various parts of the world, with singer Joe Elliott based in Ireland, bassist Rick Savage in England and guitarists Phil Collen, Vivian Campbell and drummer Rick Allen in the United States.

There are also several guest performers that helped to record some parts for the album, including Alison Krauss in “This Guitar” and “Lifeless,” and Bowie’s pianist Mike Garson in “Goodbye for Good This Time” and “Angels [Can’t Help You Now].”

Diamond Star Halos is currently available for preorder. In addition to the new LP, Def Leppard will hit the road for a Stadium Tour with Motley Crue, Poison, and Joan Jett, which is set to begin on June 16 and wrapped on September 9.
