I Hope This Finds You Well

Dear Steve Perry. Firstly, on behalf of your millions of fans, myself included, I just want to thank you for the timeless music you have given us. Secondly, I know that the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony is just months away and you’ve been swarmed with many questions, one of which probably the most, “Does this mean you are going to reunite with Journey?”. I can only imagine that this question has severely annoyed you by now, so I won’t ask it here, but I’m also fairly certain that you may have considered joining the band, once again. So, if I may, I would like to take this opportunity to speak on behalf of us fans who are awaiting to see what will happen.

We as fans would love nothing more than to see you reunite with Journey. You simply breathe a life into that band like only you can and your voice was and still is revered as one of the most iconic and unique voices in all of rock and roll. For you to join the band even just one more time would be a monumental occasion. That being said, it would be selfish of us fans to expect you to do something that you wouldn’t be happy doing. We know that your departure from Journey wasn’t for just no reason. We as fans should respect your choice to not be with the band.

As April 7th approaches, we can only imagine that you have everything in the world to think about. We can also imagine that you are being pressured more than ever to reunite with Journey. So I say this on behalf of us fans all over the world. Do what will make YOU happy.

Don’t get me wrong, if we as fans were able to see you perform with Journey even just one more time, it could literally make me cry tears of joy, but with that said, we don’t want you to sacrifice your happiness or your sanity.

What am I trying to say here? What I’m trying to say is that only you, Steve Perry, know what’s best for you. We’re happy with whatever you decide to do!
