It’s Filled With Rarities

As the third installment in an ongoing series that highlights David Bowie’s concerts from the 1990s, “Something in the Air (Live Paris 99)” is getting its own digital release. The rarities-packed gig was recorded on October 14, 1999 at Paris’ Elysée Montmartre. It will be available for streaming on August 14.

A 15-track live album, it will also feature 12 previously unreleased recordings and three sings used as B-sides for “Hours”. Check out the tracklisting below.

Prior to the show, Bowie was awarded with France’s highest artistic order – the Commandeurs of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.

“Something in the Air (Live Paris 99)” follows the digital-only releases of the 1999 live album ‘LiveAndWell.com’, Earthling era live collection, and ‘Ouvrez Le Chien (Live Dallas 95)’.

A few days ago, video games designer Phil Campbell revealed that Bowie once intended to relaunch his iconic alter ego Ziggy Stardust in space by buying up satellites circling the Earth.
