Hear David Bowie’s “Life On Mars” Performed By A Ukelele Orchestra!

We Bet You’ve Never Heard David Bowie Performed Like THIS!
I hope I’m not the only one that had no idea a ukelele a) came in so many different sizes and b) could sound quite so good. The Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain took the ukelele to the next level with their rendition of David Bowie’s ‘Life On Mars’, which also boasts an incredible mashup of ‘My Way’, ‘For Once in My Life’, ‘Born Free,’ and more.
Anarchy In The Ukelele!
The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain is a musical ensemble featuring ukuleles in different registers. They play and sing music from a variety of musical genres, all on the ukulele.
It’s amazing – because all of these songs are pretty much in the same key and follow the same chord patterns, they all fit together quite nicely with ‘Life On Mars’.
I don’t know who took the time to arrange all of these, but it’s one of the best covers/mashups I’ve ever heard! In addition to being incredibly gifted musicians, the orchestra also has quite the sense of humor – but then again, I guess it’s impossible to be a ukelele orchestra without knowing how to laugh every once in a while!
