That bass line is insane!

Today, we honor the great bassist Chris Squire of Yes, who unfortunately passed away two years ago. Squire was a master of his craft, and helped completely revolutionize the progressive rock genre, and music as a whole. It’s truly a shame that Chris wasn’t alive to see the day Yes finally broke through into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

In honor of Chris’ legacy, we’ve dug up his isolated bass track for “Roundabout.” This song has one of the most iconic bass lines in the history of rock n’ roll, and believe it or not, the isolated track makes it 10 times better! You really get to hone in on how complicated it actually is, and really hear Chris’ technique. It’s the perfect way to honor this great rocker on a sad day. It’s no wonder Yes were inducted into the Hall, and Chris was always so highly regarded.
