We know that Eric can do no wrong, but he truly proves his bluesy soul in this rare, uncovered rehearsal footage of “Little Queen of Spades” on stage with Jools Holland.

Although our all time favorite of Eric’s has to be “Layla“, the rasp and angst in his voice while rehearsing this deep ballad genuinely relaxes us.
Interesting Fact:Â Clapton has always had a very laid-back style when performing live. He did not want to look foolish jumping around the stage when he got older.
We even decided to attach the video to the live performance of this song to show how much Eric really does not need a soundcheck at all.
Filled with plenty of background singers and happy guests at the event, Eric wows the us and the audience in both takes and honestly, we like the rehearsal better.
