Carlos Santana Reunites with Homeless Ex Bandmate

Carlos brought me to tears, and I think you’re next

There aren’t many times you see rockstars in an emotional, vulnerable state. Usually when we watch our “idols“, and people we look up to perform- we see them at their best. We see them in their element in which they are comfortable, bringing us the songs we have loved for years, we immediately sink into a state of nostalgia, and the euphoria sets in.

I’m loving this video immensely for two simple reasons. The fact that this huge icon took the time out of his insanely hectic schedule to pay a visit to an old friend, and secondly – because this man is surprised, excited, emotional, and grateful for their interaction.

It doesn’t get any better than making someones day. Carlos had lost touch with his old bandmate, Marcus Malone when he was sent to jail, and they hadn’t seen each other in years. Such small actions can mean the world to someone. For this act of kindness, Carlos… you made my day.
