Brian May has released a new video for the title track of his second solo album “Another World.” The video was also filmed in the Canary Islands, the same location where he shot his previous videos talking about the reissued and remastered album.

Another World was first released in 1998 and came about during the time when May was still grieving for Freddie and for Queen, but determined to continue making music. In the original sleeve notes to the album, the guitarist wrote:

“This album is the outpouring of a confused brain still trying to make sense of EVERYTHING, and amidst vast areas of despair, finding a few flashes of light.”

The album was originally dedicated to both May’s late mother and drummer and friend Cozy Powell, who also appeared on his debut solo studio album Back to the Light.

The remastered version of the album was released in multi-format on April 22 along with a new book that collects Brian May-inspired fan art. All the sales proceeds will go to the Save Me Trust, a foundation devoted to animal rights.

The Another World reissue also features May’s recording and touring activities around the time of the original album’s release. May have already released videos for the tracks “Maybe Baby,” and “On My Way Up,” which are both included on the album. There’s also a new record of the song “Cyborg,” which featured the late Foo Fighters’ drummer Taylor Hawkins.

In his new sleeve notes for the reissue, May wrote:

“It seems perhaps that in 2022 we ARE in Another World, but if it’s not quite the world we asked for, perhaps we can still reach that perfect world … in our dreams.”
