Brian May Joins Viral Singer Benson Boone For “Bohemian Rhapsody” In Coachella

Fans at Coachella 2025 got the surprise of a lifetime when Queen’s legendary guitarist Brian May hit the stage for a jaw-dropping performance of “Bohemian Rhapsody” with pop sensation Benson Boone.
It all started with a choir softly singing the song’s famous intro. Boone, dressed in a shiny sequined spandex outfit and royal cape, walked up to a grand piano and began playing the iconic tune. Midway through, in true Benson style, he flipped off the piano—because he did.
Enter the Guitar Legend
As Boone reached the song’s legendary guitar solo, the crowd lost it—Brian May suddenly rose from beneath the stage, shredding his way into the spotlight with a burst of lights and epic riffs. “Brian May, everybody!” Boone shouted, clearly pumped to share the stage with rock royalty.
May, now 77, crushed the solo and stayed on to finish the track, giving the crowd a version of “Bohemian Rhapsody” they won’t forget anytime soon.
One More Surprise
May didn’t leave right after—he stuck around for Boone’s final number, “Beautiful Things,” which Boone introduced by saying, “It has changed my life this year and I hope you enjoy it.” As fireworks lit up the sky and Boone pulled off more of his signature flips, it was clear the night was ending on a high note.
A Tease and a Friendship
Fans who follow Brian May might’ve guessed something was coming. Hours earlier, he posted a cheeky hint on social media:
“Look who I bumped into on the way to the fabled Palm Springs. Maybe something will happen?!”
The post featured a selfie with Boone on a flight to California.
Later, May gushed about his new friend. He wrote:
“A truly golden 22-year-old prodigy.
“Proud and happy to say we are now officially pals.”
Now that’s how you rock Coachella.
