Bon Scott Biopic Has Found Its Actor

In the spotlight of an upcoming biopic, the role of iconic AC/DC frontman Bon Scott has been filled.
Lee Tiger Halley, recognized for his recent role in the Netflix series Boy Swallows World, is set to portray the renowned singer in the film tentatively titled The Kid From Harvest Road. With notable appearances in Australian TV series like Crazy Fun Park and The Heights, Halley brings his talent to embody Scott’s persona.
Like Halley and Scott, Stephen Belowsky is an Australian living in Fremantle who takes the lead in the narrative. Belowsky shares, “I was truly inspired by [Scott’s] charismatic character, but what interested me most was his early life, not the caricature we all know on stage. The teen who walked the streets of Fremantle,” Belowsky explained:
“This is a love letter to Fremantle and Bon reimagined through the eyes of the author.”
Halo Films, the production company spearheading the biopic, promises a poignant portrayal of Scott’s journey from a troubled youth to a prolific artist. The film aims to capture the essence of the man behind the legend, shedding light on his formative years and artistic evolution.

Scott, who joined AC/DC as its second singer in 1974, propelled the band to new heights with his dynamic vocals. Leading the band through seven albums, including the breakthrough release Highway to Hell, Scott left an indelible mark on rock music. His untimely death in 1980 marked the end of an era, with AC/DC forging ahead with Brian Johnson as their new frontman, ultimately achieving unprecedented success with the album Back in Black.
