On November 1, Bon Jovi released his new track, “Unbroken”, from the documentary “To Be Of Service” which takes a closer look at the relationship between veterans from the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and Vietnam and their service dogs. Following its theatrical release last Friday in New York, it will be out in theaters this November 8 in Los Angeles and will be released on Netflix on Veterans Day, November 11.
The song will also be included in his upcoming album “Bon Jovi: 2020”, out on spring. This power ballad is about US soldiers suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and the impact service dogs have on their lives. In a statement, Bon Jovi wrote: “This song is meant to honor America’s veterans and their service, but I also wanted to take an unflinching look at the reality of their daily lives and struggles.”
He also said, “This song Unbroken I wrote for a film called To Be Of Service. It’s about soldiers returning from war and dealing with PTSD. It’ll also be featured on our forthcoming record, Bon Jovi 2020, which is coming in the spring. Hope you like it.”
100% of the proceeds from downloads will be donated to the Patriotic Service Dog Foundation for the next 12 months.
