Betty White Cause Of Death Revealed In Death Certificate

Betty White‘s cause of death has been revealed less than two weeks after her death.
According to the death certificate obtained by TMZ, White suffered a stroke six days before her death and was listed as a cerebrovascular accident, which is a loss of blood flow to part of the brain resulting in brain tissue damage.
White passed away in her sleep at her home in Los Angeles, California on December 31, weeks before her 100th birthday. Sources close to the actor said in a statement that White was “alert and coherent” after the stroke.
White’s longtime agent and friend Jeff Witjas tells PEOPLE: “Betty passed in her sleep peacefully without pain. To me this is the most important thing and brings me comfort as her dear friend. Anything else is private to Betty.”
Witjas who confirmed the death said before, “Even though Betty was about to be 100, I thought she would live forever.”
The Golden Girls star was cremated and her remains were given Friday to Glenn Kaplan, the man in charge of White’s advanced health care directive.
White’s last film roles were in 2019 when she voiced the characters of Bitey White in Toy Story 4 and Sarah Vanderwhoozie in Trouble.
