If I Had The Sun And Moon, We Will Shine Them!

“Feel Like Makin’ Love” was written by Paul Rodgers and Mick Ralphs. It was recorded by Bad Company on September 1974 in England and released it on June 1975 for their second studio album “Straight Shooter.” Several cover versions have been done by other musicians including Kid Rock, Pauline Henry, Philip Claypool and “Weird Al” Yankovic even has a parody version entitled “Feel Like Throwin’ Up.”

  • Number 78 in VH1’s “Best Hard Rock Song Of All Time”
  • Number 5 in the Canadian RPM Top Singles
  • Number 10 in the U.S. Billboard Hot 100

The album, on the other hand, also became a chart-topper as it peaked at number 3 both in the US Billboard 200 and UK Albums Chart. It received gold certification status from the RIAA just one month after it was released.

Gautam Baksi’s review of the album for Allmusic said that the album’s popularity was attributed to the acoustic ballads “Shooting Star” and “Feel Like Makin’ Love.”

This band rocks! Their live versions are just totally insane!
