B.B. King – “Please Accept My Love” Live | Society Of Rock Videos

Consistently Ranked As Among The World’s Top Guitarists

“Please Accept My Love” is on the B-side of B.B. King’s “How Blue Can You Get.” The King used to sing in the church choir where he was taught basic guitar chords by his uncle. However, he would only play religious music. Nevertheless, IT WAS A START.

He has several influences and it shows in is versatility in playing the guitar. His talent is undeniably rare!

  • Dubbed as “the Beale Street Blues Boy” when he was playing as a disc jockey
  • Unmatched blues guitarist

B.B. King uses simple equipment. He played guitars made by different manufacturers early in his career: he played a Fender Telecaster on most of his recordings with RPM Records (USA). However, he is best known for playing variants of the Gibson ES-355. In 1980 Gibson Guitar Corporation launched the B.B. King Lucille model. In 2005 Gibson made a special run of 80 Gibson Lucilles, referred to as the “80th Birthday Lucille”, the first prototype of which was given as a birthday gift to King, and which he has been using ever since.

B.B. King continues to inspire numerous guitarists from electric blues to blues rock. He is simply legendary. I mean, who doesn’t LOVE listening to his songs? Every word, every tune is filled with so much emotion. Even with his guitar solos, it would always give me goosebumps. There’s simply no one like him!
