Axl Rose Paid Tribute to Nazareth Vocalist Dan McCafferty | Society Of Rock Videos

Guns N’ Roses’ lead vocalist Axl Rose paid tribute to Nazareth‘s vocalist Dan McCafferty after learning about his death. Rose tweeted about it last Saturday evening saying he went to a “surreal headspace” while he was onstage.

The legendary vocalist for Nazareth passed away last Tuesday. Rose mentioned that they were on their Asian tour when he heard about it. Rose tweeted:

“A Huge Thank You to all the fans for making r Asian 2022 tour a success!! The fan response in every venue was unique n’ special!

“Japan, Thailand n’ Singapore!!”

He talked about how much a fan of McCafferty he was and Nazareth. Guns N’ Roses also did “Love Hurts” in 1974. Rose continues:

“Haven’t addressed this… been a tough pill to swallow.

“Very, very sad to learn of the passing of Dan McCafferty of Nazareth. I learned a day or so after rt b4 r show. Was in a bit of a surreal headspace on stage for several songs. Went on a Nazareth binge for a few days. Thanks Dan n’ all of Nazareth for all the music over the years. Their music n’ Dan’s voice will always have a special place in my heart. Rest in peace Dan.”

Guns N’ Roses were doing their show in Bangkok, Thailand implying that he was in a “surreal headspace” while they were doing the show. Rose then binged and listened to Nazareth’s music until right around their band played in Singapore a few days later.

Guns N’ Roses will be playing around Australia for the next few days. They will be playing in Brisbane on Nov. 22 then on Thanksgiving, they will be in Gold Coast and hitting up Sydney towards the end of the month.
