Axl Rose and Carrie Underwood have teamed up onstage during the Stagecoach Festival and performed two Guns N’ Roses songs.

After singing the first verse of “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” the country singer and longtime GN’R fan called the rocker to the stage saying:

“Welcome to the best night of my life! Give it up for Axl Rose!”

Rose sang the rest of the song and together the duo performed the popular outro. After singing “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” Underwood’s band, anchored by lead guitarist Ed Eason, played the opening chords of “Paradise City.” Underwood asked the crowd,

“You thought we were finished?”

And once again, the pair rocked out to another GN’R classic. Supporters of Underwood have known that the singer has been a fan of the band since then. Aside from the two songs Underwood and Rose performed, she has done covering other GN’R hits such as “November Rain” and “Patience” in her concerts.

In her 2020 appearance on The Tonight Show, Underwood joked about leaving her husband and kids to see a GN’R concert after her own tour ended. She told host Jimmy Fallon:

“It’s hard when you meet your heroes, you know, because I do consider [Axl] to be somebody who taught me how to sing. and I was like, ‘What if I meet him and he’s not everything I want him to be?’ But he was, he was super cool and nice.”

As for the rocker, Rose is set to return to the stage along with the rest of his band on May 21 at the Welcome to Rockville festival in Daytona Beach. The band will perform in June and July for a tour in Europe, and will head to South America, Mexico, Australia and New Zealand in the fall.
