Ann Wilson Says Heart Collab Possible ‘When The Time Is Right’

She Admits That They “Haven’t Written Together In A While”

In a new interview with Kyle Meredith, Heart’s Ann Wilson shared that she and sister Nancy are currently focused on their own solo projects as of now but that they’re not shutting down any possibility of working on new material “when the time is right”. However, they currently have no plans of working on the follow-up to 2016’s “Beautiful Broken”.

“We haven’t written together in a while,” Ann said. “[Nancy] lives in the San Francisco area, and I live in Florida. The times when we see each other are the times when Heart tours… She’s living her life, and I’m living mine. She’s collaborating with some really cool people, and so am I.”

“I imagine we’ll write together or we’ll take some of these songs that she’s writing and I’m writing and do them with Heart,” she continued. “There will be collaboration in the future of some kind.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Ann Wilson talked about how the pandemic has changed the future of live music. She explained that even if touring has now resumed, it won’t be the same as before. She added that “We’re starting fresh; we’re starting from scratch. And whatever shows we do are going to be drastically different.”
