This Kid Tearing Up Thrill Is Gone

Quinn Sullivan is the kid’s name, and it seems he has actually been making a name for himself in the blues world with the help of legend Buddy Guy. You might recognize him from earlier Youtube videos of when he was just 8 and 9 years old, actually playing with B.B. King in some clips. But now he is starting to grow up and we found this video from about 2 years ago of him shredding it up at the Morristown Jazz & Blues Festival in New Jersey.

Sometimes it could be a little bit of a challenge to really express the blues, being so young and having so little “life experience”. But you know what? We’ll let it slide 😉 This is an excellent demonstration of clean, rhythmic guitar playing skills with a splash of smooth jazz flavor in there as well, getting all the feeling out through “The Thrill Is Gone”.

By the way, we really hope B.B. King gets better and is in our prayers!
