Babe, I’m A Dreamer!

“No More No More” was written by Steven Tyler and Joe Perry. It was released on April 8, 1975 for Aerosmith’s third studio album “Toys in the Attic.” It ranked number 7 on the Canada RPM 100 Albums and number 11 on the US Billboard 200.

The opening lyrics, “Blood stains the ivories of my daddy’s baby grand,” relate to the piano Tyler would park himself under while his dad – a classically-trained musician – would play.

This track was also covered by the American hard rock Velvet Revolver. This supergroup consisted of the former members of Guns ‘N Roses, Wasted Youth and Stone Temple Pilots.

This song came at a time when Tyler was struggling to come up with effective lyrics for the tracks on Toys In The Attic. The band told him to write about what he knew, so he come up with words about life on road – the hotels, groupies, and boredom. Tyler calls the song “my diary.”

I’ve always loved this tune!
