This Ain’t Noise Pollution!

One of the greatest things about rock and roll is the fact that it can be translated in 101 ways by 101 different people and still rock pretty hard. In the case of award winning violinist Rob Landes, this has never been more true than in his offbeat, yet absolutely rockin’ cover of AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck” – and guys, this is something you really have to see to believe! In this video, Landes is essentially a one man band playing the parts of everyone in AC/DC; from the rock solid rhythm set up by Malcolm Young, drummer Chris Slade and bassist Cliff Williams, all the way to that vicious little guitar lick provided by Angus Young – Rob even “plays” Brian Johnson’s vocal part!

Fun Fact: Rob’s favorite way to sum up his unique brand of rocking and rolling is, “Give me a violin, an amp, and a pedal and I’ll give you a killer video.”

Of all the different takes we’ve seen on “Thunderstruck,” Rob Landes’ violin spin is far and away one of our favorites – his creativity and immense musical ability make for a killer experience that any AC/DC fan is sure to enjoy.
