Legendary rock band AC/DC has expanded its ongoing Power Up Tour after strong ticket demand, adding a new Canadian performance scheduled for September 20 at Princess Auto Stadium in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The newly announced concert extends a global tour that has already drawn large crowds across several continents and continues to highlight the band’s lasting appeal more than five decades after its formation.
Named after the group’s latest studio album Power Up, which reached No. 1 in 21 countries, the tour features stadium performances throughout South America and North America. Fans across Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and major U.S. and Canadian cities have responded quickly to ticket sales, leading promoters to add more dates to meet demand. The tour reflects the band’s continued ability to attract both longtime listeners and newer audiences discovering its catalog.
A Global Tour Spanning Continents
The current Latin American leg began February 24 in São Paulo, Brazil, at Estadio MorumBIS. From there, the band traveled to Santiago, Chile, before heading to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where three consecutive shows at Estadio River Plate quickly sold out. The South American run will conclude with three stadium performances in Mexico City at Estadio GNP Seguros.
Following those dates, the North American leg will begin July 11 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. The schedule includes stops in Columbus, Madison, San Antonio, Denver, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Edmonton, Vancouver, Atlanta, Houston, South Bend, St. Louis, Montreal, Toronto, and East Rutherford, before closing the month with a major performance in Philadelphia. The newly added Winnipeg show now sits among the final Canadian appearances on the tour.

A Legacy Built Over Five Decades
AC/DC first performed live on December 31, 1973, at Chequers Nightclub in Sydney, Australia. Since then, the band has grown into one of rock music’s most recognized acts, selling more than 200 million albums worldwide. Their 1980 album Back In Black remains the bestselling album by any band and the third bestselling album by any artist, with global sales surpassing 50 million copies.
The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003, recognizing its influence on generations of musicians and fans. Even decades after its early success, the band continues to sell millions of albums each year while accumulating billions of streams across digital platforms.
The Band Returns to the Stage
The current touring lineup includes guitarist Angus Young, vocalist Brian Johnson, rhythm guitarist Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug, and bassist Chris Chaney. Together, they continue performing the band’s classic songs alongside material from Power Up, delivering large-scale stadium shows built around high-energy performances.
