The Reasons Why….

1. Cheap tricks are exactly what the day is about! How many of you have called your parents or friends saying you left the stove on or worse? The band’s name just fits too perfectly to ignore!

   

2. Known as a goofball on stage, guitarist Rick Nielsen is the poster child for pranks with one of the greatest personalities rock and roll has ever seen! It would honestly just “Be Cruel” to deny Rick of this legendary honor…

   

3. Since 2007, the state of Illinois has recognized April 1st as Cheap Trick way anyways, so why shouldn’t the rest of the country/ world get on board??

   

4. It was just announced in December 2015 that the band received an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after all these years…  In our opinion, a group that deserves an induction like that deserves a day to themselves! Don’t you think??

   

5. Just “Surrender” to the cause because “we want you to want us” to be the official prankster mascots of the new and improved Cheap Trick Day!
