ZZ Top Announces Las Vegas Residency Schedule

Famous with their songs “Goin’ Down to Mexico,” “Gimme All Your Lovin’,” and “Cheap Sunglasses,” American rock band ZZ Top has announced new Las Vegas residency dates.

For over 51 years, the band has been popularized for their blues rock, boogie rock and hard rock kind of music. The band which was formed in Houston, Texas announced their return of their Viva Las Vegas Residency at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas this coming December 2022.

They have also confirmed the upcoming release of their newest album Raw on July 22. It is said to be the band’s newest project that is connected with their wildly popular and critically lauded 2019 Netflix documentary: “That Little Ol’ Band From Texas.”

The documentary is a story of how three oddball teenage bluesmen became one of the biggest, most beloved bands on the planet. The show even became a nominee in Grammy awards last year.

Raw features the band’s original lineup of electric guitar player Billy Gibbons, drummer Frank Beard and the late Dusty Hill on bass guitar and was recorded at Gruene Hall in 2019—”the oldest continually run dance hall in Texas” as what Gibbons and Beard described it in the Raw liner notes.
