NPG Records, in collaboration with Paisley Park, the estate of the late singer Prince, has revealed two songs that were previously unreleased.

These tracks had been stored in Prince’s collection since they were recorded. The first one is titled “All A Share Together Now” and was recorded in 2006, while the second one is a remix of Prince’s single “7” from 1992, known as “7 (E Flat Version),” which was part of the album Love Symbol.

The decision to release these archived singles was influenced by the success of Celebration 2023, an annual event that commemorates Prince and coincides with what would have been his 65th birthday. During the event held at Paisley Park in Chanhassen, Minnesota, the two tracks were played for the attending fans and distributed to them on USB hard drives shaped like cassettes.

Besides the release of the singles, the celebration featured various performances by notable artists, including the Minnesota super group Sounds of Blackness, R&B star Stokley from Mint Condition, artist and producer D-Nice, members of Prince’s band, and Shelby J, a protégé of Prince. Additionally, the event paid tribute to the late Tina Turner with a performance by DJ Rashida, a long-time collaborator of Prince.

Because all of Prince’s assets were divided up among family members and independent publisher Primary Wave only last year, the publication of these two singles signals a new part of the singer’s brand and legacy.

Prior to this release, several posthumous albums and compilations have been made available to the public since Prince’s passing on April 21, 2016. These include 4Ever (2016), Piano & A Microphone 1983 (2018), Originals (2019), Prince and The Revolution: Live (2020), and the most recent one, Welcome 2 America (2021).

In August, NPG Records has exciting plans to make additional announcements regarding forthcoming Prince music. Fans can look forward to more releases and projects that will continue to celebrate the legendary artist’s legacy.
