Tommy Lee Angrily Fires Back After 21-Year-Old Son Calls Him Out In People Magazine

Lee Responds To Son’s People Magazine Comments

It’s been a whirlwind week for ex-Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee after an argument with his 21-year-old son, Brandon, turned violent. Just days after being investigation for criminal battery after punching his father Monday night, Brandon issued an official statement to People Magazine through publicist Teal Cannaday that reads:

“I’m devastated at the events of the last several days that have been a result of my father’s alcoholism. I’ve worked tirelessly organizing an intervention and it’s incredibly upsetting that it never came to fruition. 

I wanted my dad’s hopeful sobriety and recovery to be a private family matter but, as a result of his accusations on social media, I feel forced to speak out.

I have and will continue to cooperate with law enforcement as needed. I love my father and just want to see him sober, happy and healthy.”

Feeling “forced to speak out” as a result of comments Tommy’s made via social media in the past few days, Brandon blames his father’s alcoholism for turning what should have been a standard father/son argument into a trip to the hospital and a visit from the police.

Tommy Lee Responds

Tommy Lee, however, doesn’t feel the same way; in fact, he’s pretty against Brandon’s statement. Shortly before leaving social media (“See ya later social media! Can’t read anymore liesss”), Lee fired off a response to Brandon’s statement, linking followers to the People article it was featured in:

“LMAAAO!!!! I’m happier than I’ve been in my entire life,” Lee begins. “I have a few drinks here & there because I’m f—in’ retired and enjoying my life. I worked 30+ f—in’ years I deserve it.” He also disputes Brandon’s claims of trying to organize an intervention, saying “You didn’t arrange any intervention, you barely spoke to me while u [sic] were here. Just coverin ur [sic] ass!!”

Brandon has yet to respond.

As we reported yesterday, Tommy Lee and son Brandon were involved in a domestic altercation late Monday night that ended with Brandon punching his father. Lee initially posted to Instagram, saying “My heart is broken. You can give your kids everything they could ever want in their entire lives and they can still turn against you” before ending the post with a sarcastic “Good job Brandon! Great son! @brandonthomaslee” and tagging Brandon’s personal Instagram account.

As of the time this post was written it’s been reported that Tommy Lee is, in fact, pressing charges against Brandon, though  TMZ reports that he “absolutely acted in self-defense”.
