There’s Gonna Be A New Elvis Presley Series Starring Matthew McConaughey

The official trailer for Agent Elvis, a brand-new adult cartoon series scheduled to launch in March 2023, was released by Netflix last Monday. In an alternate reality, Matthew McConaughey‘s voice of Elvis Presley plays a covert spy who fights the bad guys.

At the beginning of the teaser, the character of the King of Rock and Roll can be seen on the stage while flashing his trademark smoldering smile. While in his distinctive imitation of Presley, McConaughey can be heard saying:

“Every once in a while, a man accomplishes the impossible.

“All it takes is one dreamer, because when a man dreams, he may change the world.”

Presley then transforms into an astronaut and raises his flag on the moon. Then, in an action-packed scenario, he demonstrates his mastery of martial arts by launching kicks into the air and driving expertly. Soon after, Presley gives the command making his dependable companion Scatter, the chimpanzee fires the weapon.

Rock singer John Eddie and Elvis’ ex-wife Priscilla Presley, are acknowledged as co-creators and executive producers. The co-showrunner and lead writer will be Mike Arnold, and the clothing for Presley will be designed by John Varvatos.

This is Sony Pictures Animation’s first animated series for adults. The intriguing trailer suggests that Agent Elvis will be an exhilarating adventure you won’t want to miss. Watch the official trailer below.
