“Perhaps,” a brand-new song by Guns N’ Roses, debuted on Q104.3 on the 17th of August and is currently accessible on all streaming services.

In the music video for “Perhaps,” the band is shown both performing on stage and behind the scenes at various locations around the world.

Fans of Guns N’ Roses might recognize “Perhaps,” as it’s quite similar to a version that had leaked on the internet years ago. The song has a medium tempo and is driven by piano, with Axl Rose singing about a relationship that didn’t work out. He expresses his feelings with lines like “You pulled the gun that shot and crucified my savior.” If you’re curious, you can listen to both the new version and the old demo of “Perhaps” to compare.

Back in June, there was a lot of excitement when Guns N’ Roses played a sound check of “Perhaps” before a show in Tel Aviv, Israel. The song was among those that had caused a buzz from the Chinese Democracy recording sessions, which had leaked online in 2019 along with other demos that were found in a storage unit previously owned by former A&R executive Tom Zutaut.

In mid-July, there was a lot of anticipation for new music when Tom Mayhue, a long-time stage technician, mentioned that Guns N’ Roses was planning to work on new songs. According to him, they had already recorded a bunch of material, and there were plans to release a single very soon.

“Perhaps” is the third song released by Guns N’ Roses since their reunion in 2016, along with “Absurd” and “Hard Skool” in 2021. These songs are from the same recording sessions as Chinese Democracy and now include new parts recorded by Slash and Duff McKagan.

There’s even more potential for new music from Guns N’ Roses in the near future, if Slash’s words are any indication. He mentioned in October that he wanted to create a completely new album relatively soon. The band apparently has several unreleased songs, including a couple of longer ones that he’s excited about.

As of August 5, Guns N’ Roses embarked on an extensive worldwide tour, kicking off their North American leg in Moncton, Canada. This tour marks a significant milestone for the band as they continue to captivate audiences around the globe with their iconic rock music.
